17th is the day for the children's carnival parades from10am to 12.00 and again from 2pm to 5pm.
18th and 19th are the main carnival parades from 3pm with brightly coloured floats from local associations and clubs, music and dancers.
On Ash Wednesday the "Burial of the Carnival" takes place at 3pm.
Event Location The parades start in Rua da Alegria and finish at Praça do Mar on the sea front.
